Class Description:

  • This 9-week class provides a comprehensive workout combining strength training, cardiovascular work and stretching for the busy woman. Strength training will be worked into our cardio intervals for optimal muscle toning and enhanced metabolism. The cardio portion is appropriate for both runners and walkers and is also a great introduction to running for beginners. Children in jogging strollers are welcome. Bring a pair of (3 to 8 lb) dumbbells and an exercise mat.

FALL SCHEDULE

September 2 - November 1st

*October start times will be as early as 5:50 PM as we will adjust the last few weeks due to decreased daylight.

  • CR Dam Class ~ Thursdays 6:00 PM*
  • CR Dam Group Run ~ Saturdays 7:30-8:10 AM
  • Bunker Class ~ Wednesdays 6-6:50 PM*
  • Bunker Class~ Saturdays 9:30-10:20 AM

As a Coon Rapids participant you have the option of attending classes at the following franchised locations; FridleyLino Lakesand Blaine and either of the Coon Rapids locations. During registration, you will be prompted to choose a primary location.

  • $85 - 1 Class Per Week
  • $135 - 2 Classes Per Week

ADD ON: Group Run (Registration for at least one class per week is required for add on pricing. The price for participation in the group run only is $85).

  • $15 - 1 group run per week (9 weeks)

Full payment is preferred at the time of registration. Payment plans are available for a small service fee of $1.50 per invoice. Email

Meet Steph VanHeel

Head Coach and Owner of Coon Rapids  Moms On The Run

I am a certified run instructor and an American Council on Exercise (ACE) certified personal trainer. I live in Ham Lake with my husband Bobby and three boys; Connor (14), Drew (12) and Jacob (9).  I also have three step-children that spend many weekends with us; Lexie (16), Jayce (14), and Shelby (12). We are a very busy and active blended family. 

I am grateful for the opportunity to work with this program and meet so many great women. As I seek to motivate and inspire others, I am in turn also motivated and inspired.  Moms on the Run  provides a place to make new friends and find the encouragement and support to achieve your fitness goals.  It will also give you the motivation to be the best ‘Mom on the Run’ you can be!

VEHICLE ENTRANCE PERMITS REQUIRED: A vehicle entrance permit is required for vehicle entry into all regional parks, which include Bunker Hills and the Coon Rapids Dam. Annunal park passes are $25 and good for one year from the date of purchase. Passes can be purchased at a number of regional park locations and at the Anoka County License Centers.
