At Eden Prairie Moms on the Run, we’re all about inspiring and transforming women (not just moms) through a lifestyle of fitness, fun and friendship. Whether you’re looking to walk, learn to run, or tackle another marathon, we’re here to support you every step of the way.

Our coached group runs and workout classes cater to all fitness levels. The diverse range of workout classes, running plans, and half and full marathon training programs improves strength, flexibility, speed and endurance. But we’re not only just about fitness – we’re also about forging meaningful connections along the way.

CLASS SCHEDULE

Our Interval Training classes include 30 minutes of Cardio + Strength & Stretching! 

These classes use cardio intervals to improve metabolism and cardiovascular fitness.  Beginning runners will learn to run, moving from mostly walking to running as they progress, with the goal of completing a 5K distance at the end of the season. Moreover, experienced runners will complete 30 minutes of interval training to improve their running speed and fitness levels, with workouts designed by our National Fitness Director, Olympian Carrie Tollefson. Participants are encouraged to bring 5-10+ lb. weights and a yoga mat. This class meets at Bryant Lake Park.

Our weekly steady paced endurance workouts are designed to help participants build endurance.

Whether you are looking to increase mileage, maintain your base or add in an additional interval workout, this is a great way to start your Saturday! Depending on attendees, distances vary, but you can expect 45 minutes – 1 hour of movement. Location will vary from week to week at local Eden Prairie parks and trails.

It feels SO GOOD to get that run in first thing in the morning!

Join us on Wednesdays and we’ll start our day off right with a loop around Rice Marsh Lake.  Meet at 5:30am for approximately 3 miles. All levels welcome.

Eden Prairie is FULL of beautiful trails and we want to run them ALL! Join us twice a month as we get our hearts pumping on the various trails throughout the city.  Terrain and incline will vary. The locations of these trail runs will be announces on a monthly basis.

I am so excited to be part of this amazing community of supportive, strong, driven women who are enthusiastic about their fitness. What I love most about Moms on the Run is that it is for everyone, no matter your fitness level. Starting a fitness journey can be intimidating, but there is no better place to start than with Moms on the Run!

I began to run occasionally in 2014. Since then, I have discovered that running and fitness are my “happy place.” I now run 15-20 miles a week and have realized so many PR’s since I began running with Moms on the Run in running 5ks, 10ks, 10 milers and even a half-marathon and 3 marathons.

I am married and a mother to 4 girls. When I’m not taking care of my family, working or running, you can usually find me volunteering at one of my kids’ schools. I also enjoy reading, cooking, movies, travel, board games and spending time with my family.

I have been running since 2015. After years of trying and failing with solo running programs, I came to a trial run with the Eden Prairie Moms on the Run group and instantly knew I had found my place. I signed up for the spring session that day. In the beginning, I couldn’t run more than two minutes, but in 6 short months I ran a half marathon!

Since joining Moms on the Run I have run several 5ks, 10ks, 10 milers, half marathons & full marathons. I have learned that you don’t have to be ultra fit, or “look” like a runner, or be fast to be a runner. You don’t even have to run the entire time… you just have to show up and put one foot in front of the other.

Moms on the Run was exactly what I needed to realize my goal of becoming a runner and I am so thankful for the program and the friends I have made.

CELEBRATE MOMS: Mother's Day Weekend 2025

Kick off Mother’s Day weekend by Celebrating Moms and Strong Women EverywhereThis event is a casual, all-levels, Moms on the Run-style workout followed by refreshments.

Moms on the Run 5K/10K/Kids Run: Aug. 24, 2025

Celebrate your spring/summer training season with our biggest race of the year: Moms on the Run 5K/10K and Kids Run. This year, we're changing it up and doing an evening run! Come 'chase the sun' with us and celebrate after at our sunset fun fest, where we'll have food trucks, a DJ dance party and more. Mark your calendars for Aug. 24 from 5-9 p.m. at Lake Phalen in St. Paul, MN.

SPRING AND SUMMER: SIGNATURE TRAINING

Our signature training program lets you attend classes from 1 to 5 times per week. We strongly recommend choosing an interval class at least once a week, which includes a higher level of structure and support. From walkers to runners, women will start at their own level and progress throughout the season.

FALL: STRENGTH + CARDIO BOOT CAMP

Our strength and cardio boot camp offers a variety of workout options to help you get fit. We’ll help maximize your metabolism by providing run/walk high intensity interval training (HIIT) at your level. Enhance your fitness level by improving strength, muscle tone, speed and agility.

WINTER: POLAR RUN AND INDOOR TRAINING

Our Polar run offers you a way to maintain the running endurance you built up during the summer and fall, while staying accountable and motivating during the long, cold winter months.

We also host virtual and indoor strength-training classes.

MARATHON AND HALF MARATHON TRAINING PLANS

Moms on the Run offers training programs and social media groups to current customers who are training for a marathon or half marathon.

Our training plans have been designed by our National Fitness Director, Olympian Carrie Tollefson.
